Modelling Cosmic Springs with Finsler and Generalised Finsler Geometries

We show that the equations of motion governing dynamics strings in a compact internal space can be written as dispersion relations, with local speed depends on velocity and curvature string large dimensions. From $(3+1)$-dimensional perspective these viewed relations for waves propagating interior are analogous to those current-carrying topological defects. This allows us construct unified framework which study interpret structure various field-theoretic fundamental species, simple physically intuitive coordinate system, without need dimensional reduction or approximate effective actions. This, turn, identify precise conditions under higher-dimensional defects observationally indistinguishable, macroscopic observers. Our approach naturally incorporates description so-called `cosmic springs', whose expressed terms an Finsler geometry, circular loops, generalised non-circular configurations. demonstrates importance novel geometric structures their utility modelling complex physical phenomena cosmology astrophysics.
